Emailing
To get notification emails, make the following entries:
- Provider

Select one of the available providers from the drop-down or add a custom provider.
- SMTP Host

Enter the hostname of the SMTP server.
- Port

Enter the port of the SMTP server.
- Use pool

Select to pool established connections with the mail server. A pooled connection does not need to be reestablished with the mail server.
Up to five established connections with the mail server can be pooled. You can send up to 100 email messages on a single established connection before it is disconnected and a new connection is established automatically by default. If you do not select Use pool, a new connection is established and disconnected for each email message that is sent, or if an error occurs.

Select to protect the content accessible by the other entities.
- Allow self-signed certificates

Select to accept untrusted emailing connections
- From Address

Enter a from address email. All emails will be sent from this address.
Authentication
You can authenticate to SMTP servers using OpenID Connect (OAuth 2.0).
If the Type is Basic:

Enter a username.

Enter the password.

Test the connection.
If the Type is OpenID Connect:

Enter an authentication provider.

Select login.

Test the connection.

Optionally, to send a reminder email to get a new OAuth refresh token to authenticate with the SMTP server, turn on the switch Send Reminder Email before Expiry.
If you turn on the switch, select the number of days in 24 hours until midnight that the email reminder should be sent before expiry of the OAuth refresh token.
Neptune DXP - Open Edition sets the number of days to 90 days before expiry by default.

In Send to Email Address, enter an email address of your choosing or one that corresponds to the email address you configure for the SMTP host in the Emailing section.
