Enable anonymous login for a launchpad

In this topic, you learn how to enable anonymous access for a launchpad and its related applications.

When you enable anonymous login for users, the provider of the launchpad generates a new user object for that session.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. In the Cockpit, go to Administration and select Launchpad.

  2. Select the launchpad you want to enable anonymous login for.

    Result: The launchpad settings open. You start in the General tab.

  3. Select Edit to toggle edit mode.

  4. In General, go to Login and activate Enable Anonymous Access.

  5. Select Save.

  6. In the Cockpit, go to Development and select App Designer.

  7. Select the app you want to enable anonymous login for.

    Result: The app designer opens.

  8. On the shell bar, select Toggle to edit mode.

  9. On the side navigation, select Settings.

  10. In General, activate Anonymous Access.

  11. On the shell bar, select Save.

Results

  • You have enabled anonymous access for a launchpad and application.

Notes

  • In order to enable anonymous access in your Open Edition instance, you will need to have a license added that has this feature included. Please contact us if you require this feature.

  • Any applications that are added to a Launchpad that has anonymous access enabled, will also need the anonymous access setting enabled.
