Configure an application

In this step, you learn how to configure a new application.

Prerequisites

In the Cockpit, go to Development and click App Designer.

Result: The App Designer settings open in a new tab.
Click Create New App.
In Application, enter a name for your new application.
In Type, select Application.
In Package, select the SAP package that you want to assign the application to.
Click Save.

Result: The App Designer opens. You start in the Application Settings tab.
Enter additional information about the application in Description and Title/Group. This information is displayed in other tools and helps distinguish your application from others.
In Allow ICF SubNode, enter all subnodes you have created under the /neptune node in ICF.
In RFC Destination, select the destination of RFC calls in the target system.
In Application Class, select the SAP ABAP Class for your application.
In Theme, select the SAP UI5 theme you want to use for your application.
If you want to create a stateful application, activate Stateful. Applications are stateless by default.
In SAPUI5 Version, select the UI5 version for your application. If none is selected, the version currently recommended by Neptune is used.
In SAPUI5 Language, select a default language for UI elements of your application. The selected language will be inserted as a URL parameter when running the application.
On the shell bar, click  Save.
