Neptune Software is designed to be intuitive, with the support of extensive documentation covering every tool and functionality of the platform, paired with dedicated e-learning courses that take you through building your first application.

With existing ABAP, JavaScript and UI5 development experience, it is possible to hit the ground running with Neptune DXP.

Neptune DXP has two editions:

Neptune DXP - SAP Edition: A platform specifically developed on ABAP for SAP backend solutions. The Neptune DXP - SAP Edition is the only fully certified rapid application development platform built for SAP that runs embedded within the SAP NetWeaver stack.
Neptune DXP - Open Edition: A platform which is API driven and provides a rapid application development on any backend system, any cloud, and any architecture.

Both editions share similar functionalities, and each has a handful of specialised features that complement their landscape. It is also possible to run the Neptune DXP - SAP Edition apps natively, utilizing their integration with SAP, within the Neptune DXP - Open Edition landscape and to connect to any natively built apps based on other frontend libraries such as React or Angular. Both modules together form Neptune DXP.
